Since we’ve been following Black Milk out of Detroit, beginning in 2005, he has been doing his thing and raising the bar for hip-hop / soul music on a global level. This most recent project shows us his versatility as he crafts a soulful sound using electronic drum and synthesizer elements from the 70’s and 80’s. The level of quality regarding his timing, orchestration and sound quality rival that of the greats… influenced by J Dilla and other Detroit icons, Black Milk has defined his place in history, and as one of the true contributors to the industry. It will be very exciting to see what his projects with singer, Mel ‘Burning Stones’ EP and others will have in store for 2014 – stay tuned!
