Dealing with the dynamics of life in 2026, there are a lot of things to be thankful for and a lot of things to consider. We been working hard on a few projects. Some audio gear, some soulful sample packs and tuned drum kits, getting it in. The squad has something special for you! Some analog “flavor in your ear” from the windy city. Chicago is one of the original birthplaces for soul and electronic music. The sounds that have come from this city are multi generational. This type of sound can only be developed in communities rich in culture and vibration. Nothing about this sound has anything to do with algorithms, shiny apparel, gemstones, bedazzled popups, furry plushies or trendy cliques. This sound is rooted in timeless culture, skills and dedication.
We present to you, an analog audio masterpiece from the man himself, B4Lasers. “GCS Sessions Vol.1” is a two-sided instrumental EP capturing raw, untitled compositions straight to tape. No gimmicks. No overthinking. Just process and feeling documented in real time. Recorded entirely on the GCS Model 8 Tape Machine, this project embraces the imperfections, saturation, and movement that only tape can give. Each beat lives where it landed. No recalls. No revisions. Just moments committed. Chicago stand up!
Side A and Side B unfold like a continuous reel, built from a deep vinyl collection curated over years of digging. Every texture, chop, and rhythm comes from records touched by hand and reshaped through hardware. This is not a beat tape chasing perfection. This is documentation of a moment in time. A study in restraint, texture, and analog discipline. This project was released May 4, 2026. All beats produced using the Akai MPC, Ableton Move and Isla Instruments S2400. The project was mixed down through the Ramsa WR-S208 for added depth, color, and cohesion. It was recorded live with no overdubs from the vinyl collection of B4Lasers.
