Big Noise MPC is now offering audiophile upgrades for hardware studio equipment. Our first offering is for the classic Akai MPC 2000XL. Based on modifications first adopted for our Modular MPC Custom 2000XL units, this upgrade package is guaranteed to enhance the sound of your Akai workstation. Both playback, record and 8 out audio path caps upgraded to Elna Silmic II electrolytic audiophile caps. The Op-Amps on the motherboard are upgraded; the output Op-Amp is upgraded to an audiophile grade DOA. As well, the input Op-Amp to the A/D is upgraded to an audiophile grade DOA. The Op-Amps on the IB-M208P 8 output board are upgraded with audiophile grade DOA’s. With over 30 years experience Big Noise can deliver high quality industry standard upgrades for your audio equipment. The modular concept was designed in 2019.

Bezel kits come in a wide variety of materials such as Phenolic (a canvas / linen compost), plastic, wood and metal. Customers can mix and match materials.
