MPC Tact Switch Cleaning & Replacement Service | Akai 2000 or 2000XL
Big Noise MPC is now offering audiophile upgrades for hardware studio equipment. Our first offering is for the classic Akai MPC 2000XL. Based on restoration techniques first adopted for our Modular MPC Custom 2000XL units. This upgrade package is guaranteed to restore the performance of your Akai workstation tact buttons. The tact switches on all of the top-panel buttons are mechanically cleaned and tested. Any tact switches that do not function properly and/or provide responsive performance, are replaced with brand new momentary contact tact switches. Depending on the age or ware-and-tear on your MPC, typically there will be about 5 tact switches that need replacement.

Custom MPC 2000XL bezel kits are now available for pre-order on the Big Noise MPC website. Bezel kits come in a wide variety of materials such as Phenolic (a canvas / linen compost), plastic, wood and metal. Customers can mix and match materials.
